FAQ

Can HypoMux make one download connection faster?

Not reliably. HypoMux balances separate connections; it does not split one TCP connection across multiple networks. It is more effective for Steam, browsers, and download managers that make concurrent requests.

Why do adapter weights differ from actual traffic?

Scheduling happens as a connection starts, while real traffic also depends on the source server, connection duration, protocol behavior, and path health. A configured weight is not an instant byte ratio.

Can I use Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and a mobile hotspot together?

Yes. Each must be active in Windows, able to access the internet, and pass Network Check before it can join the aggregation pool.

Should I use System Proxy or Virtual Adapter mode?

Start with System Proxy mode for proxy-aware apps such as browsers, IDM, and Steam. Use Virtual Adapter mode when you need to cover more traffic from apps that cannot use a proxy; it cannot run alongside another TUN / VPN that owns the default route.

Is aggregation a good choice while gaming?

Usually not. Aggregation prioritizes combined throughput and does not guarantee lower latency. Add competitive games, voice apps, and meeting apps to direct-routing rules, or stop HypoMux temporarily.

Does HypoMux collect my data?

No. HypoMux does not collect, sell, or upload personal data or telemetry. Network communication happens only for user-requested traffic forwarding, update checks, official installer downloads, and connectivity validation.

Where can I download safely?

Use only GitHub Releases or Tencent CNB Release. After installation, verify that the publisher is SignPath Foundation.
